speed.txt is an internet speed test in plain text. it measures your download speed, upload speed, and latency, then prints the numbers. that is the whole site.
the test moves data between your browser and cloudflare's network, the same infrastructure behind a large share of the web. results reflect your real connection to a nearby server.
you usually run a speed test because something is wrong. that is a bad time for autoplay video and three megabytes of javascript. this page is small enough to load on a struggling connection.
no ads. no cookies. no tracking. results appear on your screen and are not stored anywhere.
